The object’s form is derived from the classic children's shape-sorting game. The structure of the small house is modeled on the simple barracks of concentration camps and Gulags—places where undemocratic regimes driven by fascist, communist, and Nazi ideologies imprisoned their political opponents. Fragments of bodily tissue from martyrs of totalitarian regimes are embedded within the individual elements: the swastika contains black hair; the yellow Chinese stars contain teeth; the white "Z" (the symbol of the Russian army in the war in Ukraine) is made of bone; the red hammer and sickle symbolize blood; and the star - the symbol of communism contains an eye.
