Destiny I - VIII / 2020

/tattooed embryos, iron, silicone, hair, plywood, 20x6 cm/

I was expecting my child in the first phase of coronavirus. When covid 19 began to spread uncontrollably from China, causing panic and blurring the contours of the future, my son was probably at this stage of embryo development. Female animals prepare for their offspring by building a nest, plucking their hair and feathers. I wanted to have my child in an imaginary safety, somehow in my hands and with a vision of a good future. Out of the need to visualize this, the Destiny file was created. I placed eight embryos in hair nests, to which I inscribed a promising fate on the skin through positive symbols created throughout cultural history.
